Born in California and raised in Hong Kong, Sarah Law attended Parsons School of Design in New York City and Paris for her undergraduate studies. Upon graduation in 2008, Sarah was the recipient of the school’s highest honours as nominee for ‘Designer of the Year’.
It was during her thesis review that Sarah was introduced to Roopal Patel, then a senior buyer at Bergdorf Goodman and a critic for the review. Through Ms. Patel, Sarah met Gap’s former creative director Patrick Robinson, who hired her to design Gap women’s accessories. Shortly after leaving Gap, Sarah launched KARA in the fall of 2012. For KARA, Sarah designs accessories she would like to wear. She appreciates simplicity with a playful curiosity.
